“Smoke Break”

When “Smoke Break” was made it was during a time in my life where I was genuinely overwhelmed by the rapid movement of every single facet of my being. School, jobs, health, friendships; literally everything was moving so quick and continues to move on with or without you. I wanted to be in a small empty white room, with no distractions, no opinions, and no concepts of anything. It made me think of where those spaces were in my own current reality. Can I create that space anywhere I go? I immediately thought of being in a car in the busy city. Loud bustling cars, chatter, and commotion on every block but the moment you shut those doors it’s nothing but the sound of your own thoughts and emotions. Have you ever seen the urge in someone that needed to smoke? The desire to hear the lighter flick? That smoke break is the same as that car door shutting. Silence. What represents your “Smoke Break”?
