SPACESHIP CRASH SITE
Crash-landing on an uncharted planet, the space explorer finds themselves amidst an extraordinary collision of nature and mystery. The wreckage lies surrounded by colossal trees and peculiar rocks, a surreal fusion of the familiar and the alien. Drawn by an explorer's curiosity, they venture into a vast cave, its entrance adorned with bioluminescent flora. Inside, the cave reveals an ethereal beauty, with trees and rocks intertwining to guide them toward a concealed secondary entrance. As they traverse deeper, the environment seems to whisper an ancient narrative, a story woven into the very fabric of the planet. In this captivating scene, the explorer stands on the brink of discovery, where the crash site and the mystical cave converge, inviting them to unveil the planet's secrets, one luminescent step at a time.
Concept work for a spaceship crash site which is actually in association with a 3D environment I made while attending VCU. Crashing into an open entry cave/ sinkhole leaving a path of destruction behind and unseen stories ahead.
The greyboxing was done in Blender with simple shapes and lighting compositions. Then it was painted over in Photoshop. Process photos are located below.
